Terms of Service

The plain-English terms that apply when you book a cleaning with us. Last updated May 31, 2026.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of lumorahomeservices.com and the cleaning services provided by Lumora Home Services(“Lumora”). By requesting an estimate or booking a service, you agree to them.

2. Free estimates

A free estimate is a good-faith quote based on the information you share (home size, condition, frequency, location). The final price can change after a walkthrough if conditions differ materially from what was described. We always tell you before changing the price.

3. Scheduling and access

  • We schedule cleanings during our regular hours (Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 6 PM) and by appointment for vacation rental turnovers on weekends.
  • You are responsible for giving us safe access to the home (keys, codes, or in-person) on the agreed date and time.
  • If we cannot access the property at the scheduled time, we may charge for the travel time. We'll always confirm before billing.

4. Cancellation and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule any booking. We ask for at least 24 hours notice so we can offer the slot to another client. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee, which we will always discuss with you before billing.

5. Our 100% satisfaction promise

If something we cleaned does not meet your expectations, tell us within 24 hours of the service and we will return and re-clean the area at no additional cost. This is our re-clean guarantee. It does not include monetary refunds for completed work.

6. Payment

  • Payment is due on the day of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Accepted payment methods will be confirmed with you before your first visit.
  • For overdue payments, we'll reach out directly to find a solution.

7. What we are not responsible for

  • Pre-existing damage, wear, or stains that cannot be removed by standard cleaning methods.
  • Items of unusual or sentimental value that were not flagged to us in advance. Please secure or remove irreplaceable items before our visit.
  • Damage caused by faulty fixtures, plumbing leaks, or appliances that were not in working order before we arrived.

For any damage we are responsible for, our maximum liability is limited to the cost of the service performed that day, except where prohibited by Massachusetts law.

8. Products and methods

We use eco-friendly, pet-safe and kid-safe products by default. If you prefer specific products (for allergies or surface sensitivity), let us know in advance and we will accommodate when possible.

9. Non-solicitation

If you wish to hire any member of our team directly outside of Lumora, please talk to us first. A reasonable referral fee may apply to cover the training and trust we've invested.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Disputes will be resolved in good faith and, if necessary, in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as the business grows. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect any change. By continuing to use our services after a change, you accept the updated terms.
